You have the instrument
Everything needed to run it and read it: how the chart works, how to operate and maintain your recorder, and how to get documentation your quality team can file.
Reading the record
The chart is the instrument's output, and reading it is a five-minute skill. Magnitude, axis, timestamp — once someone at receiving can read those three, they can accept or reject freight against a documented threshold instead of guessing.
How to read an impact chart
Magnitude, axis and timestamp — and what a coupling shock, a drop and a forklift strike each look like on the trace.

Charts, batteries and calibration
Replacement charts
Charts are specified by speed — 7, 15, 30, 60, 90 and 120 days on the RM-3WE; 14, 30, 60 and 90 on the GEMM. Custom speeds are available. Order by instrument and chart speed and we will confirm the part number.
Chart-drive battery
The G-sensing mechanism needs no power. The chart drive is a quartz DC stepping motor run from a single C cell: replace it every four to six months, though estimated life is one year. Switch the drive off between deployments to conserve it.
Calibration documentation
Static and dynamic calibration records are available for your quality file, and factory recertification can be scheduled on your own audit cycle. Ask an engineer for the interval that suits your documentation requirements.
Need a part number, a replacement component, or a document not listed here? Ask an engineer — response within one business day.

Our engineering staff answers operating, mounting and chart-reading questions within one business day.
We supply direct, through packaging integrators who specify our instruments inside their crating, and through distributors in importing markets.
